Sulfotransferase that catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to the position 2 of uronyl residues. Has mainly activity toward iduronyl residues in dermatan sulfate, and poorer activity toward glucuronyl residues of chondroitin sulfate.

Has no activity toward desulfated N-resulfated heparin. .
