Background of FASLG
Fas ligand (FasL or CD95L) is a type-II transmembrane protein that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family. Its binding with its receptor induces apoptosis. The human FASL gene consists of approximately 8 kb and is split into 4 exons. Fas ligand/receptor interactions play an important role in the regulation of the immune system and the progression of cancer. Fas ligand or FasL is a homotrimeric type II transmembrane protein. It signals through trimerization of FasR, which spans the membrane of the "target" cell. This trimerization usually leads to apoptosis, or cell death. Soluble Fas ligand is generated by cleaving membrane-bound FasL at a conserved cleavage site by the external matrix metalloproteinase MMP-7.

Intra Assay Consistency & Inter Assay Consistency
We measured random samples of Human FASL / CD95LG / CD95 Ligand PicoKine® Quick ELISA Kit within the same batch/lot to ensure the consistency of the kits' performances. ELISA intra assay consistency is measured using wells from the same plate/assay kit. ELISA inter assay consistency is measured using wells from different plates from the same batch production/lot.

1 Customer Q&As for Human FASL / CD95LG / CD95 Ligand PicoKine® Quick ELISA Kit
Question
An inquiry: For this antibody FEK0337 at where the FasL protein do the antibodies bind? I want to measure the amount of a chimeric FasL molecule I have made versus the WT FasL protein. The chimeric protein contains AA 139-281 of human trans-membrane FasL. It also has an HA tag so I could just use an antibody against the HA tag if necessary. Do you have any other ELISA kit that I will use against HA tag?

Answer
The epitopes of this FEK0337 antibody is not known, however, the antibody pair is binding somewhere on the extracellular domain (aa 134-281). The capture antibody is monoclonal and the detection antibody is polyclonal. As for HA tag we do not have a kit against HA though we have many antibodies that are anti-HA.
