Background of DGK-iota
This gene is a member of the type IV diacylglycerol kinase subfamily. Diacylglycerol kinases regulate the intracellular concentration of diacylglycerol through its phosphorylation, producing phosphatidic acid. The specific role of the enzyme encoded by this gene is undetermined, however, it may play a crucial role in the production of phosphatidic acid in the retina or in recessive forms of retinal degeneration.

Question
Will anti-DGKI/Dgk Iota antibody A11534 work on horse IF with putamen?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-01-28
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-DGKI/Dgk Iota antibody A11534 on horse. You can run a BLAST between horse and the immunogen sequence of anti-DGKI/Dgk Iota antibody A11534 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated horse samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in horse putamen in IF, you can get your next antibody for free.
