Background of Hmgb4
HMGB4 is HMG2 like, isoform 2, high-mobility group box 4. This gene can be found on Chromosome 1. HMGB4 contains two HMG-box regions, which is found in a variety of eukaryotic chromosomal proteins and transcription. HMGB proteins are phosphorylated to various extents reveals that the existence of differentially modified forms increases the number of distinct HMGB protein variants in plant chromatin that may be adapted to certain functions.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question
Does PA1042 anti-HMGB4 antibody work on parafin embedded sections? If so, which fixation method do you recommend we use (PFA, paraformaldehyde, other)?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-06-28
Answer
It shows on the product datasheet, PA1042 anti-HMGB4 antibody as been validated on WB. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.
