Immunogen

A synthesized peptide derived from human SF2 Plays a role in preventing exon skipping, ensuring the accuracy of splicing and regulating alternative splicing. Interacts with other spliceosomal components, via the RS domains, to form a bridge between the 5'- and 3'-splice site binding components, U1 snRNP and U2AF.

Background of SF2

C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system. Its processing by C3 convertase is the central reaction in both classical and alternative complement pathways. After activation C3b can bind covalently, via its reactive thioester, to cell surface carbohydrates or immune aggregates.

Antibody Validation

Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question

Would anti-SF2 Monoclonal antibody M00497 work on monkey WB with liver?

Verified Customer

Verified customer

Asked: 2018-06-14

Answer

Our lab technicians have not tested anti-SF2 Monoclonal antibody M00497 on monkey. You can run a BLAST between monkey and the immunogen sequence of anti-SF2 Monoclonal antibody M00497 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated monkey samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in monkey liver in WB, you can get your next antibody for free.
