Background of MRP1
The two members of the large family of ABC transporters known to confer multidrug resistance in human cancer cells are the MDR1 P-glycoprotein and the multidrug-resistance protein MRP1. MRP1 is an integral membrane protein that contains an MDR-like core, an N-terminal membrane-bound region and a cytoplasmic linker, and it is expressed in various cerebral cells, as well as in lung, testis and peripheral blood.
Antibody Validation
Boster validates all antibodies on WB, IHC, ICC, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA with known positive control and negative samples to ensure specificity and high affinity, including thorough antibody incubations.

Question
Would anti-MRP1 / ABCC1 (Multidrug Resistance Related Protein 1) Monoclonal antibody M00872 work on feline IHC with testis?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2019-09-13
Answer
Our lab technicians have not tested anti-MRP1 / ABCC1 (Multidrug Resistance Related Protein 1) Monoclonal antibody M00872 on feline. You can run a BLAST between feline and the immunogen sequence of anti-MRP1 / ABCC1 (Multidrug Resistance Related Protein 1) Monoclonal antibody M00872 to see if they may cross-react. If the sequence homology is close, then you can perform a pilot test. Keep in mind that since we have not validated feline samples, this use of the antibody is not covered by our guarantee. However we have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in feline testis in IHC, you can get your next antibody for free.

Question
Would M00872 anti-MRP1 / ABCC1 (Multidrug Resistance Related Protein 1) Monoclonal antibody work on parafin embedded sections? If so, which fixation method do you recommend we use (PFA, paraformaldehyde, other)?
Verified Customer
Verified customer
Asked: 2018-05-17
Answer
It shows on the product datasheet, M00872 anti-MRP1 / ABCC1 (Multidrug Resistance Related Protein 1) Monoclonal antibody as been tested on IHC. It is best to use PFA for fixation because it has better tissue penetration ability. PFA needs to be prepared fresh before use. Long term stored PFA turns into formalin, as the PFA molecules congregate and become formalin.
