Acts as a RAC1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) and can induce membrane ruffling. Functions in cell migration, attachment and cell spreading.

Promotes targeting of RAC1 to focal adhesions (By similarity). May be a positive regulator of apoptosis.
